Cambridge-led excavations revealed palace compounds, temples, monolithic columns, and cliff inscriptions among the earliest written Nepali. Sinja's underground water network marks one of the most sophisticated hill settlements of the Khas Malla era — a kingdom that stretched from Mustang to Uttarakhand.

Kakre Bihar, Surkhet
