The Manakamana legend ties to Ram Shah of Gorkha and his queen's hidden divinity. Pilgrims climb or ride the cable car to offer goats, flowers, and coconuts — hanging bells when manokamana (heart's wishes) are fulfilled. The ridge temple overlooks the Trishuli and Marsyangdi river gorges.
