Badimalika Temple
Badimalika is a revered Shakti shrine in Triveni Municipality, Bajura District, Sudurpashchim Province, set on a ridge near 4,200 metres. Dedicated to Bhagwati, the temple draws pilgrims for Malika Chaturdashi, Ganga Dussehra, and Janai Purnima. The high Himalayan setting, ringing bells, and shared priestly traditions from Bajura and Kalikot make it one of western Nepal’s most demanding and rewarding tirthas.
Ramaroshan
Ramaroshan in Achham District is a celebrated wetland and lake complex of Sudurpashchim Province, famed for its chain of lakes, rolling grasslands, and wide Himalayan views toward the Api and Saipal ranges. Often described as the ‘twelve lakes’ landscape, it blends natural heritage, pastoral life, and growing eco-tourism on the western mid-hills.
Khaptad National Park
Khaptad National Park spans rolling alpine meadows, oak and rhododendron forest, and sacred sites of Sudurpashchim Province. Established around the hermitage of Khaptad Baba, the park protects rare Himalayan flora and fauna while welcoming pilgrims to the ashram and trekkers to Khaptad Lake and surrounding plateaus near 3,000 metres.
Shaileshwari Temple, Doti
Shaileshwari Temple at Silgadhi is one of the most revered shrines in Nepal's mid- and far-western hills — a Shakti Peeth mentioned in the Skanda Purana, with deities including Shiva lingam, Chaturbhuj Narayan, Ganesh, Bhairab, and Masta.
Tripura Sundari Temple, Baitadi
Tripura Sundari Temple (Ransaini Bhagwati) crowns a hilltop at Gothalapani in Baitadi — a historic Shakti Peeth with pagoda architecture and sweeping views toward the Mahakali basin and Indian hills.
Garva Durbar
Garva Durbar at Khairala, Kailali is a 1927 Rana-era three-storey palace with 83 carved wooden windows and 53 doors — built by Khadga Shamsher as an administrative seat for the far-western terai and Chure foothills.
